Abstract
This Decree implements the Act relative to the health and well-being of animals as far as the breeding of pigs is concerned. It also implements rules regarding the regarding the keeping of pigs and health certificates contained in Schedules of Council Directive 91/630/EC of 19 November 1991 laying down minimum standards for the protection of pigs. The Decree prescribes in detail rules for the keeping of pigs in stables, contains some general principles regarding interventions on pigs, and makes provision for certain animal health aspects in relation with the importation of pigs from countries outside of the European community.
