Decree No. 184 of 2003 to amend the Decree to the raising of pigs and related matters (implementation of Directives 2001/88/EC and 2001/93/EC).

The Directives, here implemented, bring about more stringent norms relative to keeping and housing of pigs in the principal Decree. The norms concern: measures against aggression between animals (art. 2aa); separation of animals in special circumstances (art. 2b and art. 16); equipping of stables (art. 3); keeping of boars (art. 4); light intensity (art. 10); and feeding systems (art. 11). Article 19 formulates exemptions.
