Abstract
This Decree provides for the creation of Fauna Management and Conservation Units and the approval of Fauna Management and Conservation Plans in management areas of collaboration associations of holders of hunting licences where part of that area lies within more than one province. The Units are created and approved by the Provincial Council of the Province in which the largest part of the area lies in consultation with Councils of other Provinces in which part of the area lies. Recognition as a Fauna Management and Conservation Units shall only take place if the collaboration association of holders of hunting licences meets requirements laid down in articles 4 to 6 of this Decree. These requirements concern the juridical status of the association and its management area. Fauna Management and Conservation Plans shall meet requirements laid down in articles 7 to 11. These requirements concern mainly the contents of the Plan (art. 10). The Plan aims at long term management and conservation of animal species referred to in section 68 of the Flora and Fauna Act. Units shall report yearly to the Provincial Council in accordance with section 67 of the Act (art. 12). (14 articles)
