Abstract
This Decree lays down a series of requirements for the greenhouse cultivation sector in the Netherlands with respect to the environment. These requirements are a direct result of a covenant agreed upon by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Public Housing, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Traffic and Water Affairs, the branch organization for agriculture and horticulture LTO-N and the Union of Polder Boards. The requirements regard activities of the sector that may harm the environment, e.g. discharge of waste, use of pesticides or fertilizers, but also the use of water and energy.
