Decree No. 443 of 2002 amending the Fisheries Products Decree made under the Commodities Act, the Decree relative to meat, minced meat and meat products made under the Commodities Act, and the Decree Administrative Sanctions made under the Commodities Act

These amendments provide for final implementation of the EC Regulations mentioned, in relation to labeling of beef and fishery products, i.e. providing information to the customer regarding characteristics of the labeled product. The competent authority in all Decrees shall be the Food and Goods Authority, and penal provisions are those prescribed by the EC Regulations. As for fish products, the method of production does not have to be mentioned with respect to sea-caught fish if it results clearly that the fish is caught in the sea. Traders in fish products shall keep documents regarding the origin of the fish.
