Abstract
This Decree amends the principal Decree of 1998 to implement provisions of Commission Directive 2003/40/EC establishing the list, concentration limits and labelling requirements for the constituents of natural mineral waters and the conditions for using ozone-enriched air for the treatment of natural mineral waters and spring waters. The Directive established limit values for specified elements in natural mineral waters that may pose a threat to public health. Such elements must be naturally in such waters and shall not be the result of pollution at the source. There shall also be a warning of the label for waters containing more that 1,5 mg/l of fluoride for infants and babies. Further the Directive lays down conditions for the use of air in waters that is enriched with ozone. Treatment may be done only for limited purposes and must be indicated on the label.
