Decree No. 61 of 1998 relative to the registration of fishing crafts.

This Decree makes provision for the registration of fishing vessels and for this purpose also provides for the indication of "home ports" for fishing vessels by the Minister and the marking of fishing vessels. It is prohibited to make use of fishing vessels if not the letters referring to the home port or numbers referring to registration are indicated on the vessel. The Decree specifies conditions for and procedures of registration and provides rules for circumstances such as loss of vessels, transfer of vessel, etc. in relation with registration. The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries shall keep the register of vessels.
