Abstract
This Act, consisting of 105 articles, and implementing some European Regulations on the matter, provides for the production, transport and supply of electricity. The Act concerns: consumer, supplier, producer and trader of electricity; biomass; renewable energy sources, including surface water, geothermal, ocean energy, hydropower, sewage treatment plant gas and biogas; sustainable electricity; climate-neutral electricity; guarantee of origin for sustainable electricity; economic ownership; producer, supplier and trader of gas; wind farm; offshore network; energy report and monitoring; data and information collection relating to security of supply and provision of electricity; powers and duties of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets; establishment of a competent authority for project decision on wind farm and production facility; designation of network operators for transport of electricity; tasks and obligations of the grid operator; construction, extension or renewal of networks; handling of disputes; conditions for the methods of data processing; sustainable electricity supply, energy conservation and promotion of sustainable energy; penalties and administrative fines.
