Abstract
This Regulation, in consideration of the provisions of Animal Feed Framework Act, of the Animal Feed Decree and of the relevant European Union Legislation, implements: articles 6.2, paragraph 1, 6.4, 7.1 and 9.1 of the Animals Act; articles 2.1, 2.3 and 2.4 of the Animal Feed Decree of 2012; and article 8.5 of the Veterinary Medicinal Products Decree. The Regulation, consisting of 72 articles, concerns: poultry (turkeys, chickens, laying hens, gallinaceous, ducks and geese); birds intended for the production of hatching eggs; undesirable substances in animal feeds; prohibited feed materials; substances in organic animal feeds permitted under restrictions; use of water for preparing and processing animal feeds; provisions for implementation of: 1) Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) 999/2001 laying down rules for the prevention, control and eradication of certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies; 2) Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EC) 183/2005 laying down requirements for feed hygiene; specific provisions for monitoring zoonotic salmonella in poultry, ruminants and pigs; restriction and limitation on import and export of feed additives; provisions concerning harmful or unsafe substances to feed animals intended for human consumption; determination of substances with hormonal effects and with genetically modified organisms.
