Abstract
These Regulations, based on the provisions of the Environmental Management Act, and implementing provisions of European Legislation on waste and hazardous waste management, provide a classification of waste, according to its composition or physical properties, in order to determine whether a waste is hazardous or non-hazardous. The Regulations concern procedures for determining the hazardous properties of waste, and particularly define the following waste materials as hazardous: liquid petroleum products, oil from electrical equipment, bitumen and asphalt products, asbestos.
