Abstract
The commercial breeding of pigs or poultry of a size exceeding the limits for a non-commercial establishment fixed by Decree, cannot be established without a permit from the Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Criteria for the assessment of applications are outlined in section 3. Further conditions may be established by the Department. The criteria have regard to: the capacity to store or process waste and manure; the location of the farm; pollution control; and whether the production is linked to cultivation. (7 sections)
