Decree No. 1 of 1956 relative to property rights of fishing vessels.

This Decree prescribes that the authority defined in the Act relative to property rights of fishing vessels shall be vested in the Director of Fisheries. A general exemption from provisions of the Act shall apply to all vessels under a length of 50 feet in accordance with section 4 of the Act. Applications for ownership rights shall be sent to the Director of Fisheries through the Chief of the local Fisheries Board. The same applies to applications for the registration of unmarked vessels in accordance with section 3 of the Act.
