Abstract
This Decree makes provision in general for the control of animal health requirements in relation with the production, processing, placing on the market and the importation from third countries of foodstuffs of animal origin. The objective of the Decree is to prevent the spreading of transmittable animal diseases. The Decree shall also apply to products produced in aquaculture. The Decree specifies various health requirements and requires a health certificate of products of animal origin of third countries, i.e. countries that are not members of the European Union or have trade arrangements within the framework of the European Area Agreement. Schedule 1 lists the transmittable diseases to which this Decree applies.
