Decree No. 1182 of 1988 placing limitations on navigation in marine waters.

This Decree applies to vessels as defined in section 3 of Act relative to navigable waters and ports, and also in inner waters (art. 1). It defines general principles of navigation and gives powers to Sea District Offices to regulate locally navigation in accordance with section 17 of the Act. Outside the districts the Coast Directorate may adopt rules for navigation. Local rules shall be published in the Official Gazette, Part II. Infringement of general and local rules shall be punished in accordance with provisions laid down in section 28 of the Act.
