Abstract
The scope of this Decree is to secure the hygienic quality of food and to prevent production and placing upon the market of food harmful to public health (sect. 1).
48 sections are divided into 12 Chapters: Introductory provisions; General provisions for premises (II); Special provisions for premises where food is produced, processed or prepared (III); Provisions relative to floating or temporary premises, etc. (IV); Transportation (V); General requirements with respect to equipment (VI); Provisions relating to hygiene in handling of food and the handling of waste (VII); Water supply (VIII); Health and personal hygiene of employees (IX); provisions relative to foodstuffs (X); Temperature and equipment for the measurement of temperature (XI); Administrative provisions (XII).
Food includes potable water and beverages (sect. 4; definitions).
