Abstract
Production, storage, transport placing upon the market, and importation of food shall be subject to rules made by and control carried out by the Government. Such rules shall be made in order to: prevent of production of food harmful to public health; safeguard hygienic quality of food; regulate the ingredients and quality of food; to establish general criteria which food shall meet before being placed upon the market (sect. 1). Food includes drinking water but not medicines. Section 3 provides specifically for regulation of the quality of water used in the food business. The municipal and inter-municipal food control authorities shall be charged with food supervision and control tasks pursuant to this Act and implementing regulations. They shall receive assistance from the police force and the customs offices. (13 sections)
