Abstract
This Decree specifies criteria for participation in fishing for cod, haddock and coalfish by vessels under 28 meters of length and which fish with other methods as seine and trawl north of the 62nd parallel in 2006. Section 2 outlines general conditions for participation. Criteria regard registration as vessel of under 28 meters of total length, inclusion in the Fishermen Census, Part B, by the owner of the vessel and the captain, and previous participation by the applying vessel. Vessels must have delivered at least a given percentage of their assigned quota in the same kind of fishery (specified for each fish species) in the year 2005. The Decree provides also for fishing rights in the case of transfer or lease of the vessel. (12 sections)
