Abstract
This Decree applies to vessels flying the flag of one of the member states of the European Union with a total length over 24 metres fishing in the Norwegian economic zone and the fishery zone of Jan Mayen. These vessels shall have a satellite tracking system installed on board in accordance with sections 2 and 3. Section 4 prohibits manipulation of satellite tracking equipment. Sections 5 and 6 provide for measures in the circumstance that the system fails. Alternative use of reporting shall be used and the vessel is under obligation to repair or substitute equipment within a month. (8 sections)
