Abstract
This Decree provides for the control of residues of plant protection substances in foodstuffs which includes drinking water and substances used in the production of food. "Plant protection substance" is defined in section 2. The Decree implements legislation of the European Communities so as to carry out obligations of Norway as a member of the European Economic Area. Maximum allowed contents of plant protection substances are specified in the Annexes. Supervision shall be carried out by food control offices at municipal level. References to EC legislation are frequently changed. (7 sections completed by 2 Annexes)
