Abstract
The text is divided into 3 Chapters: Chapter I specifies conditions of participation in fishing for North Sea herring south of the 62nd parallel for vessels under 21,35 meters of length that fish with purse seine or beach seine, whereas Chapter II specifies conditions of participation for vessels that fish with under 21,35 meters of length that fish with nets. Chapter III prescribes that offences shall be punished pursuant to section 29 of Act No. 15 of 1999 relative to the right to participate in fishery and hunting of marine animals.
A total of 123.670 tons of herring may be fished in the following areas: outside of the baselines of ICES statistics areas IVa, IVb and ICES area IIIa limited in the east by a straight line between the Lindesnes buoy and the Hanstholmen buoy; the Skagerrak limited in the west by the same straight line and outside of a zone within 4 nautical miles from the baselines of Denmark and Sweden and outside a zone distant 2 nautical miles from the Norwegian baseline.
