Abstract
The text of the Decree consists of 21 sections divided into 4 Chapters: Scope, application sphere and definitions (I); General requirements (II); Additional requirements for the importation from third countries or from regions of third countries (III); Final provisions (IV).
The Decree aims at the prevention of spreading diseases in relation with importation and exportation of embryos of bovine animals. General requirements concern production and collection of embryos by approved production and collection units, supervision over such units, requirements regarding donors of embryos or seed, transport and storage of embryos, and health certificates. Chapter III contains specific requirements in relation with importation from countries other than EEA countries. (21 sections completed by 1 Schedule listing countries from which importation of embryos is allowed)
