Decree No. 1488 of 2002 to regulate access to participation in fishing for cod with seine for vessels with a length of maximum 27,5 meters south of 62 N in 2003.

This Decree specifies criteria for participation in fishing for cod by vessels between 13 and 27,5 metres of total length and which fish which fish for coalfish south of 62 N in 2003. Section 2 outlines general conditions for participation. Criteria regard registration as vessel of under 28 metres of total length, inclusion in the Fishermen Census, Part B, by the owner of the vessel and the captain, and previous participation in by the applying vessel. Vessels must have participated in the same kind of fishery in the years 1999, 2000, and 2001. The Decree provides also for fishing rights in the case of transfer or lease of the vessel. (10 sections)
