Abstract
The text of the Decree consists of 24 sections divided into 4 Chapters: Scope, application sphere and definitions (I); General requirements (II); Additional requirements for the importation from third countries (III); Final provisions (IV).
The Decree aims at the prevention of spreading diseases affecting cattle in relation with importation and exportation of bull seed. General requirements concern collection of seed by approved bull stations, supervision over such stations, requirements regarding bulls, compulsory routine testing of stations, treatment and storage of seed, and health certificates. Chapter III contains specific requirements in relation with importation from countries other than EEA countries. (24 sections completed by 1 Schedule listing countries from which importation of deep-frozen seed is allowed)
