Decree No. 158 of 2001 relative to changes in ownership of companies that posses a permit for the breeding salmon or trout for consumption purposes.

This Decree aims at control of changes in ownership of establishments that hold a licence in accordance with Act No. 68 of 1985 for purposes of reaching the national objectives in the marine industries. The Decree prescribes changes that require approval by the Directorate of Fisheries, introduces a duty of notification and places restrictions on ownership: nobody may own more than fifty percent of the total concession volume in a given Fisheries Directorate region.
