Abstract
This Decree specifies criteria for participation in 2004 in fishing for cod, haddock, coalfish, tusk, Greenland halibut, (white and blue) ling, redfish and catfish by vessels of or more than 28 metres of total length and which fish with conventional gear, i.e. with other methods as seine and trawl. Section 2 outlines general conditions for participation. Criteria regard registration as vessel of or more than 28 metres of total length, inclusion in the Fishermen Census, Part B, by the owner of the vessel and the captain, and previous participation by the applying vessel. Vessels must have participated in the same kind of fishery in the year 2002. Fishing for cod in a specified area requires prior participation and delivery of at least 100 tons of cod in the years 2000, 2001, 2002. The Decree provides also for fishing rights in the case of transfer or lease of the vessel. (8 sections)
