Decree No. 2 of 1976 concerning an exemption from the duty to take care for housing for animals.

This Decree exempts the keeping of tame reindeer from the duty to keep animals in premises that meet certain requirements as prescribed by section 4 of Act No. 73 of 1974 concerning the protection of animals. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority may grant other exemptions if prescribed requirements are met. These requirements concern the climatic conditions in relation to a specific animal species. The exemption shall be applied for to the Norwegian Food Safety Authority in accordance with this Decree.
