Abstract
The scope of this Decree is to prevent the transmittal of infections through transplantation of animal seed and to protect animal health and well-being. Persons not authorized to practise as veterinarians may carry out transplantation of seed if the Department of Agriculture has approved them as insemination experts (sect. 3). Section 4 also allows other persons, such as the owner of the animals, to carry out insemination if specifically allowed to do so by the Department. Section 5 formulates quality criteria for seed. Section 6 prohibits insemination in certain circumstances. Sections 7 and 8 provide for book-keeping and reporting to the local veterinary office. (12 sections)
