Decree No. 342 of 2008 relative to navigable waters and ports in Svalbard.

This Decree makes provisions of Act No. 51 of 1984 relative navigable waters and ports applicable to inner waters and marine territorial waters of Svalbard, subject to adaptations made by this Decree. The Decree defines duties of the Department of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs and local authorities in relation with control of navigation and the construction of certain works required for safe navigation. Some provisions also concern fishing vessels and the storage of dangerous substances.
