Decree no. 437 of 2000 to amend the Decree relative to satellite-based control of activities of fishing vessels.

A new article 4 is inserted regulating the reporting of position via satellite to the Directorate of Fisheries. It specifies data that shall be communicated. Data shall include: identification of the vessel; the geographical position of the vessel as specified; date and hour in relation to the reported position; data relative to navigation; identification of the type of report that is sent. Article 5 concerns alternative means of communication of satellite reporting is impossible. Article 6 provides for the reparation of satellite-tracking equipment.
