Abstract
The objective of this Decree is to prevent, control and possibly eradicate forms of spongiform encephalopathy that may be transmitted from animals to men as documented in Community legislation listed in article 2. If a permit or approval is required under one of the Community Regulations, the Food Safety Agency shall be the competent authority. This Decree also concerns the handling of specified risk materials and additional requirements for the placing on the market or importation of sheep and goats.
