Decree No. 922 of 1983 relative to registration of fishing vessels of a length of more than 35 feet in the Norwegian Register for Fishing Vessels.

A commercial licence in accordance with section 2 of the Act regulating the participation in fishing of 1972 shall not be granted for imported fishing vessels of a length of 35 feet or more if the vessel has been previously sold outside of Norway with State incentives in the form of loans, subsidies or guarantee for the sale of vessels or if a vessel made of steel has more than 10 years or a vessel of wood has more than 5 years. A licence shall also be denied if the vessel has the subject of withdrawal incentives. (3 sections)
