Decree to place restrictions on navigation in marine waters (No. 1182 of 1988).

This Decree of the Department of Fisheries places restrictions on navigation by all kinds of vessels in marine waters of Norway and those inland waters which are navigable by sea-going vessels. In general vessels shall navigate in such a way that no danger arises and collision with other vessels or fishing gear is avoided (sect. 2). Within its maritime district each of the municipal councils may prescribe rules placing restrictions on navigation in accordance with section 17 of the Act relating to ports and maritime navigation of 1984. Section 4 provides for the publication of such local rules. (8 sections)
