Abstract
This Decree lays down rules for the correct hunting of minke whales. The principal rule that no unnecessary harm or pain shall be inflicted to the animals is worded in section 2. Article 2 prohibits the use of harpoon grenade or cold harpoons. Articles 3 and 4 prescribed requirements regarding other hunting gear, whereas article 5 contains rules regarding killing of animals. Article 6 concerns priority of vessels in hunting, and article 7 prohibits dumping of rests of dead whales if it causes inconveniences to fishing activities.
