Abstract
The text of the Decree consists of 25 sections divided into 4 Chapter: Scope, application sphere and definitions (I); General requirements (II); Requirements relative to health (III); Final provisions (IV).
The Decree aims at the prevention of diseases affecting living goats and sheep in relation with their importation and exportation from and to EEA countries and selected third countries. General requirements concern registered and approved breeding establishments, transport, earmarking in accordance with provisions of Decree No. 1481 of 1998, and health certificates. Chapter III contains specific requirements in relation with single diseases such, brucellosis, mouth and foot disease, caprine artritis, and other infectious diseases.
