Abstract
This Decree regulates the production of fish in freshwater. "Freshwater" shall be considered water with an amount of salt of lower than 0.5 on one thousand parts of water. No one shall construct, install, expand, hold a majority stake in, operate, etc. a fish farming enterprise without a permission of the Director of Fisheries. Section 3 regulates the procedures of application for permits. Licences for the farming of salmon and trout shall be granted in accordance with section 6 of the Fish Farming Act of 1985 (sect. 4). Section 4 specifies reasons for refusal of a permit; permits shall be refused to installations which may cause damage to fish health or the environment. Licences may be granted to installations which have a volume not exceeding five thousand cubic metres. (11 sections)
