Abstract
This Decree is divided into 8 Chapters: General provisions (I); Conditions for approval (II); Raw materials and treatment of raw materials (III); Requirements regarding production (IV); Self-control (V); Transport of products (VI); Importation (VII); Final provisions (VIII).
The scope of the Decree is to establish hygienic requirements with respect to production, storage, sale, transportation, importation and exportation of products to which the Decree applies. Article I-4 defines general requirements for regarding handling of fish oil and fish meal. Activities involving such products shall be approved by the Directorate of Fisheries. The hygienic requirements regard premises, equipment, and disinfecting methods. Article 3-2 concerns handling of fish products on board of vessels. Chapter V makes provision for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point - HACCP self control.
