Abstract
The Decree consists of 42 sections divided into 9 Chapters: General provisions (I); Communication of information, training, etc. (II); Requirements regarding slaughterhouses operating all year round (III); Requirements regarding slaughterhouses operating seasonally (IV); Requirements regarding mobile slaughterhouses (V); Provisions regarding employed persons, premises, etc (VI); Requirements relative to slaughtering (VII); Requirements relative to the killing of animals (VIII); Administrative provisions (IX).
Establishment or operation of slaughterhouses shall be approved by the State Food Supervision Agency (art. 3). Minor changes in operation may be approved by the Supervising Veterinarian. Requirements generally concern the position of the premises, water supply, equipment, disinfecting facilities, etc.
