Abstract
The text of the Decree consists of 22 sections divided into 6 Chapters: Scope, application sphere and definitions (I); General provisions (II);Testing and sampling (III); Measures (IV); Supervision, responsibility and warnings (V); Final provisions (VI).
This Decree concerns the control of each type of salmonella in fresh meat of large animals such as cows, pigs, and sheep and fresh poultry meat. Supervision and control shall be carried out in accordance with a national control programme to be established by the Department of Agriculture. Testing of food shall be carried out under responsibility of the supervising veterinarian and in laboratories approved by the State Food Control Agency. Sections 11 to 15 list various measures to be taken in slaughterhouses in case of occurrence of salmonella.
