Directive No. 562 of 2000 relative to the installation of satellite-tracking devices which shall be used on board of fishing and whaling vessels.

This Directive of Directorate of Fisheries concerns the installation on board of equipment for communication of fishing vessels with satellites in accordance with Decree 387 of 1999 and Directive of the Directorate of Fisheries No. 1592 of 1999. it specifies requirements relative to the position of the vessel, anchoring, activation of the tracking system, de-activation of the tracking system, supply of electricity, etc. The third part of this Directive concerns specifically installation of ARGOS equipment, whereas the last part provides for the installation of INMARSAT equipment.
