Abstract
For a period of three consecutive hunting seasons starting in 1997 in specified counties of Norway boards for the management of gluttons or boards for the management and conservation of lynxes shall be established. These boards, consisting of 6 members shall establish yearly hunting quotas, establish if licence-hunting may take place and establish quotas for such hunting, and establish criteria for participation in such hunting. The Boards are subordinated to the Directorate of Nature Management which has issued the present Directive. The second part of the Directive concerns licence-hunting of gluttons and the hunting of lynxes without a quota limitation. Seasons are specified for both kinds of hunting. The last part of this Decree regulates the use of rifles and notification and reporting by hunters. (10 sections)
