Abstract
This Regulation seeks to safeguard health and safety of food and feed and facilitate market access for food and feed that do not meet standards of EEA Regulations in countries outside the EEA. Foods and feedstuffs produced and exported shall meet the relevant requirements of the Norwegian rules regarding food and feed, unless a) otherwise required by the authorities of the importing country or is stipulated in laws, regulations, standards, codes of practice and other legal and administrative procedures of the importing country, and the business can document this, or b) the authorities of the importing country expressly accept the foodstuffs or feedstuffs and are aware of why they cannot be marketed in the EEA, and the foodstuffs are not harmful to health and the feedstuffs are safe. Supervision shall be carried out by the Food Safety Authority.
