Abstract
This Regulation applies to the Fisheries Protection Zone around Svalbard, where Norwegian and foreign vessels may not engage in commercial fishing in 2012 for Norwegian spring-spawning herring in the fishery protection zone around Svalbard. Exception to this fishing ban are coordinate areas listed under article 3, where it is permitted to fish between 2 July to 31 December 2012. Failure to comply with this Regulation shall be subject to penalties in accordance to Act No. 91 (article 8 and 9) and to Act No. 37 (articles 61, 64 and 65).
