Abstract
The regulations of this Order apply to fishing in international waters in the area north of 35 N and west of a line drawn along meridian 42 W to position 59 N 42 W and thence along meridian 44 W to the coast of Greenland (NAFO area). Those sections of the NAFO area are defined as divisions or sub-areas which are described by a number between 1 and 6 and the addition of one or more letters (example 3L). Norwegian fishing vessels are not permitted to fish or land shrimps in the NAFO area in 2014. However, they are authorized to catch up to 48 tons in the marine area 3L and only at below a minimum of 200 meters deep. Following permission from the Directorate of Fisheries an observer coverage may be reduced to 25% of the time the vessel is located in the area if the vessel sends daily electronic catch reports in adherence to article 3c of Regulation No. 1507 of 11 December 2009 concerning the regulation of fishing in the Northwest Atlantic (NAFO area).
