Abstract
It is not permitted to Norwegian vessels to fish and land Greenland halibut north of 62 N in 2014. It is however permitted to fish and land up to a maximum of 9 675 tons of Greenland halibut, of which 200 tons is allocated for research purposes. The Regulation indicates an authorized total allowable catch for vessels measuring maximum 28 meters of length (art. 3). Certain marine areas (article 8) are subject to the ban on fishing for the species. Violation charges shall be subject to the application of article 59 of Act No. 37 and Regulation No. 1437 of 20 December 2011. Penalties for non compliance with regulations of this document shall implement articles 60-62, 64-65 of Act No. 37.
