Abstract
This Decree shall apply to Norwegian or foreign vessels of any type that conduct commercial fishing and to vessels assisting in commercial fishing, including fisheries exploration vessels. It shall be totally prohibited to fish for blue whiting in the territorial waters and inner waters of Svalbard. Seven percent of blue whiting shall be allowed in catches of other fish species and up to twelve percent of bycatch for single catches. Penalties are prescribed by the 1925 Svalbard Act.
