Abstract
The present Regulation prohibits the export of fish, fishery products, and marine products without the exporter being registered in the Seafood Council's (Sjømatrådet) register of exporters authorized to export fish, fishery products, and marine products. The Seafood Council shall handle issues related to the registration. It shall further provide advisory services to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries on matters related to export, marketing, and production connected with export, to the extent determined by the ministry. It shall also serve as a mediator of information to industry practitioners, their organizations, and the authorities, and shall function as a liaison between institutions for research and education in the marketing of fish, fish products, and marine products. The Seafood Council may initiate and administer joint domestic and international market measures and other export promotion activities, either alone or in collaboration with other organizations and authorities.
