Abstract
It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land saithe in 2015 in the following areas: the North Sea, Norway's territorial waters and economic zone south of 62 degrees N and in the EU zone in ICES statistical area IV; in Skagerrak, 4 nautical miles off the Swedish and Danish shores. Notwithstanding this prohibition, Norwegian vessels are allowed to participate, fish and land a maximum of 33 743 tons of saithe in the North Sea and Skagerrak outside the shores in 2015. Of this quantity, 11 tons are allocated to research and teaching. In addition, Norwegian vessels may fish up to 500 tons of saithe in the EU zone in ICES statistical area VIa north of 56 30' N. Fishing for pollock in the EU zone in ICES statistical area VIa north of 56 30' N ceases with effect from Friday 20 March at 23.59. Participation fishing quota are listed under article 3, while fishing methods/equipment permitted are specified in art. 4-7.
