Abstract
It is forbidden for Norwegian vessels to fish in 2013 in the Greenland's economic zone in ICES territories Va, XII, XIV and NAFO Subarea 1. Nevertheless, they are permitted to fish a specific total allowable catch quota for blue halibut (1 475 tons in West Greenland and 850 tons in East Greenland), Hippoglossus hippoglossus (75 tons in West Greenland), halibut (235 tons in East Greenland), demersal redfish (400 tons in East Greenland), pelagic redfish (2 600 tons in East Greenland), cod (1 250 tons in East and West Greenland), roundnose grenadier (120 tons in East and West Greenland), and bycatch of other species (150 tons). Fishing for pelagic redfish is only permitted within a defined area. The quota can also apply in the NEAFC Regulatory Area's. Fishing for pelagic redfish is prohibited until 10 May 2013. Cod fishery is restricted to a determined area (art. 2). Vessels fishing for halibut by trawl in West Greenland shall be given a quota.
