Abstract
It is prohibited for Norwegian vessels to fish and land Greenland halibut north of 62° N in 2015. Exempt from the prohibition is fishing in the fisheries zone around Jan Mayen for a limited quota of 9 675 tons of Greenland halibut. Of this quantity 123 tons of Greenland halibut shall be allocated for research purposes. Vessels under 28 meters in length that fish with conventional gear, has the the opportunity to participate in direct fishing for Greenland halibut for a total allowable catch of 4 000 tons from Monday 25 May at 00:00 hours. The Fisheries Directorate shall enforce cease of fishing activities at 1 700 tons reached quota from Monday 27 July at 00:00 hrs.
