Regulation No. 431 on fishing periods for anadromous salmonids fishing in the sea.

The Regulation sets rules on fishing periods for anadromous salmonids in lakes. It is not permitted to fish closer than 100 meters to river and sea borders/estuaries. In the estuary (protection) zones from and to Rogaland, to Sør-Trøndelag and Trondheim Fjord in northern Trøndelag, specific seasons for fishing this species is permitted in rivers. Fishing with keyway (art. 4) and with hook yarn in specific areas and times (article 5) are listed in the document. The Norwegian Environment Agency may in special cases grant exemptions from the provisions of these regulations.
